We have our place at F-27/28 inside the Nanddham Industrial Estate. That is on Marol Maroshi Road in Andheri East. It is a really busy part of Mumbai. The estate itself is always humming with activity. There are trucks loading and unloading constantly in the narrow driveway. Our unit is spread across two sections, so we have a bit more room than some of the neighbors in the building. It is mostly just rows of shelves and packing stations. We spend a lot of time on our feet here. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to stop. There is a lot of paperwork involved in what we do, so the desks are usually covered in folders and logbooks. We get a lot of noise from the main road, but you get used to it after a week or so. Most of us take the train and then a rickshaw to get here every morning. It is a convenient location for getting stuff shipped out to the rest of the city. We have a small area where we keep the registers and the daily schedules. It is a very hands-on kind of environment. No one wears a suit here. We just wear what is comfortable for moving boxes and handling the inventory. It has been our base for a long time and it suits us. (250 words)
