You can find us at 16 Fort Hill Road. It’s a solid old building where we work with technical fabrics. Not the kind of stuff you make shirts out of, but the heavy-duty things used in industry. The office is pretty straightforward, nothing fancy to see. We spend our time looking at specs and making sure the looms are running right. It’s noisy sometimes, but you get used to the rhythm of the place. The location is convenient for getting trucks in and out, which is good because we move a lot of material. We aren't interested in being the most modern place around; we just care that the fabric we produce is strong and meets the requirements. Most of the staff has been around for a long time, so everyone knows their role. We have our tea breaks, talk about the day, and then get back to it. It’s a practical environment. We don't spend money on expensive furniture or big signs. If the fabric is good, the customers keep coming back, and that's enough for us. The road outside can get a bit congested during the shift changes, but that's just part of life here. We take pride in the work, even if it’s just industrial material that most people never see. It keeps the bills paid and gives us something to do, which is all anyone can ask for really. We've got a small kettle for tea and a few old fans that keep us cool enough.
