Hilti India Pvt Ltd has a small office tucked away in Deonar, over at 1/6 Pujari Apartments. It is a quiet enough spot considering we are in Mumbai. We’ve been operating from this apartment unit for some time now. It’s not what you’d call a traditional corporate office, but it serves us well for what we need to do. Most of the time, we are just heads down, focusing on the paperwork and the distribution side of things. The space is a bit lived-in, with stacks of files and the sound of the ceiling fan going all day. We know the neighbors and they know us, which is nice. Sometimes it gets a bit loud outside, but that is just the way it is here. We aren't big on flashy signs or expensive furniture. Our focus is just on the work. People call us up or drop by when they need something specific, and we do our best to help them out quickly. It’s a straightforward operation. We show up in the morning, have our chai, and get to it. Dealing with the daily logistics keeps us pretty occupied. There’s always something that needs fixing or a client waiting for an update. We don't make things complicated. It’s just a group of us working out of a residential building, trying to keep the business running smoothly every single day. We don't need fancy things to get the job done right.
