You’ll find our shop at 33 Bibijan Street. It’s a very tight and busy street, so you have to be careful walking through the crowds. We have been selling tools here for a long time. The shop is quite small and every inch of wall space is covered with hammers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and power tools. It can look a bit overwhelming if you aren’t used to it. We don’t have a computer system to tell us where everything is; we just know where we put things over the years. We deal with everyone from professional contractors to people who just need a single nail. It gets very hot in the shop during the summer because there isn’t much of a breeze on this street. We usually have a fan going, but it doesn’t do much. We start our day early, setting out some of the larger items on the sidewalk to show people what we have. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting heavy boxes and moving stock around. We don’t use any marketing tricks or fancy displays. If someone asks for a tool, we tell them if we have it and how much it costs. It’s a direct way of doing business that we’ve stuck to for decades. The noise of the market outside is constant, but it’s the sound of people working, which we like. We’re just a local tool shop trying to keep the shelves stocked for the community.
