We are over in the Gundecha Industrial Complex, unit G/15. It’s tucked away in Patankar Wadi on Akruli Road in Kandivali East. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how crowded it gets. We are Heenal Security Systems. We deal with all the bits and pieces that go into keeping buildings safe. Cameras, wires, sensors, that kind of stuff. The office is usually full of boxes and half-opened packages because we are always testing things out. It’s not a big corporate space. It’s mostly just a few of us sitting at desks or out on-site fixing a broken camera. The air conditioner in the back room makes a weird rattling noise, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. People call us when their alarm starts beeping for no reason or when they want to see who is at their gate. We spend a lot of time stuck in Kandivali traffic going from one job to another. It’s a lot of technical work, looking at small wires and trying to figure out why a system isn’t talking to the internet. We aren't experts at everything, but we’ve been doing this long enough to figure most things out. It’s just a regular local business. We show up in the morning, drink some tea, and start answering the phones. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but the work gets done eventually. We like being part of the local community here in Kandivali.
