Hasmukh & Co.

We are located at Kakad House, specifically in the B-Wing at New Marine Lines. It’s right across from Bombay Hospital, so there are always lots of people and taxis around. Hasmukh & Co. has been in this building for many years. The office is old-fashioned with wooden desks and stacks of papers everywhere. We like it that way; it feels more real than those glass offices in the newer parts of town. We get a lot of people dropping by because it’s such a central location. It can get pretty cramped during the peak hours, especially with the lift being slow sometimes. We just keep our heads down and handle the accounts and the clients as they come in. There’s no big mission statement on the wall, just a calendar and maybe a clock that’s a few minutes fast. We know our regulars by their first names and we usually have their files ready before they even sit down. It’s a busy life here in South Mumbai, and we are just a small part of it. We don't do anything fancy, just plain work. If you need to find us, look for the sign in the lobby of Kakad House. We’re usually there from morning until the evening rush starts on the railway lines. It is a long day most times, but we are used to the pace of this neighborhood by now and wouldn't really want to be anywhere else.
