Our place is over in Udyog Nagar at D-17. If you know the area, it’s mostly factories and workshops everywhere you look. It can get quite dusty and noisy with all the trucks moving in and out, but that’s just how things are around here. We’ve been operating out of this unit for quite some time. The floor is usually covered in materials and the machines make a steady humming sound all day long. It isn't the quietest place to work, but we are used to it by now. In the summers, it gets quite hot inside, so we keep the big fans going all the time. Most of the guys have been with us for years and we all know the routine like the back of our hands. Lunchtime is usually when things quiet down for a bit and we sit together near the main shutter. There’s a small tea shop down the road where we get our morning fix. We don't really do anything flashy here. It’s just about making sure the machines are running and the orders are moving out the door. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to worry about that. It’s a practical space for practical work. We find that being in Udyog Nagar helps because everything we need is basically within walking distance.
