Hardware Zone

Hardware Zone is located at 3Rd Cross, 24Th Main, Phase Ii, number 7, in Chembur East. It's a pretty standard hardware shop. We have shelves full of tools, nails, plumbing parts, and all sorts of bits and pieces. It’s often a bit disorganized because we get so many things coming in and out every day. We try our best to keep track of it all. The floor is usually a bit dusty from all the cement bags and wooden planks. It’s a family-run place, so you’ll often see my brother or my uncle behind the counter. We’ve been in Chembur for quite some time now and know most of the local contractors. They come in early in the morning before they head to their sites. The 24Th Main road can get really congested, especially when the trucks are unloading. We don't have any fancy computer systems for our inventory. We mostly just know what we have by looking at the shelves. If we don't have something, we can usually get it in a couple of days. We don't do any flashy marketing. We just put a sign out front and wait for people to stop by. It’s hard work, lifting heavy boxes and standing on our feet all day, but it’s what we know. We just want to provide the neighborhood with what they need to fix their houses. We keep a bowl of water outside for the stray dogs too.
