Hamir Smart N Associates

Our office is in Cheetacamp, Trombay. The address is D/M/26. If you know this area, you know it’s a very tight-knit place to live and work. Hamir Smart N Associates is basically just a few of us helping out with various bits of paperwork, tax stuff, and general advice for people. It’s a small room, and it can get pretty warm in the Mumbai afternoons. We have a ceiling fan that rattles a bit when it's on high, but it does the job. Most of our clients are people from the neighborhood who need help with their documents or small business things. We don't have a secretary or a receptionist. When you walk in, you just talk to whoever is sitting at the desk. We’ve been at this spot for several years now. There's a lot of paper everywhere, stacked on the shelves and even on the floor sometimes. We try to keep it all organized, but it's a lot to handle. Trombay is a busy part of the city, and there’s always noise coming in from the street. We don't do any big advertisements or anything. People just hear about us from their cousins or their friends. It’s a modest setup. We don't promise anything impossible, we just do the work that is right in front of us. If we can't help with something, we usually know someone nearby who can. That’s just the way it works here.
