Hamid Timber Mart

If you come down to Santacruz East 8th Cross, you’ll find us at Hamid Timber Mart. We are located at Isro Layout Road, specifically Shop No 6 on Plot No 313. The place usually smells like fresh cut wood and sawdust, which is something you just get used to after a few days of working here. It’s a dusty job but someone has to do it. We spend a lot of time moving planks around and talking to people who stop by the shop. Santacruz East is a busy area, especially around the 8th Cross, so there is always noise from the street. Our shop isn't very large but we pack a lot into it. We’ve got wood stacked up pretty high in the back of Plot No 313. Most of us have been working with timber for years, so we know the difference between a good piece and a bad one just by looking at it. It’s not a glamorous business. Your clothes get dirty and your hands get rough, but that’s part of the trade. We just open up Shop No 6 every morning and see who comes by. Whether it’s someone needing a single board or a whole load, we treat them the same. Hamid Timber Mart is just a local spot on Isro Layout Road where we work hard and keep things simple.
