If you go down to 178, Sheriff Devji Street, which most people around here just call Chakla Street, you will find Haji Atiq & Co. It’s right in the middle of all the chaos of the market. There are always handcarts moving by and people shouting to get through the crowd. Our place is at number 178, and it’s usually packed with goods. We don't have much room for a lobby or anything like that. We just have our workspace where we deal with everything. Haji Atiq & Co. has been a part of this street for a very long time. We’ve seen the seasons change and the street get busier every year. We don't have a website with professional photos or a logo that cost a lot of money. We just have our name on the sign outside. Most of our day is spent talking to people who come into the shop. It’s loud and it’s dusty sometimes, but it’s our workplace. We don't use much technology, just the basics to keep track of what we have. We aren't looking to change how we do things. The old way works fine for us. We just focus on the people who come to 178 and try to give them what they need. It’s a lot of work, and the days can be long, but it’s what we know how to do best. We just keep at it every day.
