Hafele Design Studio

Our space for Hafele Design Studio is over in Mahalaxmi, right on Dr Moses Road. We are on the ground floor of the Haji Moosa Patrawala Industrial Estate. We actually take up four units, from number 3 to 6, so it’s a pretty decent-sized area. Being near Famous Studio makes it easy for folks to find us when they are coming for the first time. The industrial estate has that old Mumbai feel to it, which is quite different from the newer glass buildings you see elsewhere. Inside, we have laid things out so we can show different design ideas. It’s a busy road outside with a lot of trucks and cars going by, but once you step inside, it’s a bit quieter. We spend a lot of our time here looking at drawings and talking about how to make spaces look better. It’s not always perfectly tidy, especially when we are in the middle of a big project and samples are laying around. We chose this spot because Mahalaxmi is central for a lot of our clients. There’s a lot of history in these old industrial buildings. We just focus on the design work and try to keep things organized despite the busy atmosphere of the estate. It’s a practical place for a studio, with plenty of room to move around and think. If you’re in the area near the studios, that’s where you’ll find us on the ground floor.
