H. M. & Company

H. M. & Company is based right on Nagdevi Street. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded and loud this street can be. We are on the second floor of the Laxmi Building, at number 126/128. It is an old building with a lot of character, and the stairs are quite narrow. We’ve been here for a long time, and the office is filled with years of files and records. It is a very traditional way of doing business. We don't use a lot of fancy technology; we prefer to talk to people directly. Most of the other shops on Nagdevi Street sell hardware and tools, so it is a very busy commercial hub. You can hear the sounds of handcarts and shouting from the street all day long. It is a bit chaotic, but we wouldn't have it any other way. We know the other tenants in the building and often share a tea with them in the afternoon. We aren't trying to be a modern corporate office. We are just a local company doing our bit in the trade. Some days it is so busy you can hardly move in the hallways, but that is just how it goes here. We take things as they come and try to keep our customers happy without overcomplicating things. It is just regular, honest work in the heart of the old city.
