Our workplace is on the 2nd floor of Hira Kunj on Bhagat Singh Road in Vile Parle West. It is a typical Mumbai building where space is a bit tight but we have made it comfortable enough for our electronics work. Being in Vile Parle West is nice because we are close to the station and there are plenty of places to grab a snack. We deal with industrial electronics, so the benches are usually covered in soldering irons, circuit boards, and various wires. It can look a bit chaotic to someone walking in, but we know exactly where every component is kept. The climb up to the second floor is good exercise since the stairs are a bit narrow. We spend a lot of time looking through magnifying glasses and testing circuits. Sometimes we stay late when a particular project is giving us trouble, but that's just the nature of working with electronics. We don't have a big sign outside or a fancy lobby. Most of our visitors are people we’ve known for years who come by to drop off repairs or pick up parts. The hum of the testing equipment is the background noise of our day. It is a small, honest business where we just focus on fixing things and making sure the boards are working correctly before they leave our hands.
