Gulf Contracting Co. is located right near Ahmed Kirana Stores on Wireless Road in Juhu Lane. If you are familiar with Andheri West in Mumbai, you know this area is always moving. Our address is 400 058. It is not a big corporate building, just a regular spot where we come to work every day. The kirana store downstairs is a good landmark because everyone around here knows it. We spend our time managing the different projects and sorting through all the papers that come with contracting work. The street outside can get quite loud with the traffic and people shouting, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We have a few desks, some old filing cabinets, and a tea kettle that gets a lot of use. It is a simple setup because we don't need much to get the job done. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just wait it out or work by the window light. Most of the people we talk to are locals or people who have been sent our way by others in the neighborhood. We don't do any big advertising or anything like that. We just stay here in Andheri West and handle whatever comes across our desks. It is a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes. The rains in Mumbai usually make the lane a bit muddy, but that is just part of the experience here.
