Green Finger

We started Green Finger right here in Juhu at number 16. It’s mostly just us working with plants every day. Some days it’s messy with all the soil and water everywhere, but that’s how it goes when you’re dealing with roots and dirt. We’ve been around this neighborhood for a good bit now. Local people stop by when they need something new for their balcony or if their garden is looking a bit dry. It’s definitely not a big fancy operation with a polished front desk. Just a few of us who know our way around different types of plants and how to keep them alive in this heat. We spend most of our time out in the back area or visiting people's homes around Juhu to help out. If the gate is open, someone is usually inside working on something or mixing some compost. It gets quite humid in the afternoons, but the plants seem to like it. We don’t have any slick marketing or a big receptionist. Just some sturdy tools and a whole lot of green stuff growing in every corner. Sometimes we run out of specific pots or seeds, but we try to keep the basics on hand. It’s a quiet spot most days. Juhu is usually very busy and loud, but back here it’s mostly just the sound of watering cans and the wind. We’ve learned a lot about what grows well in this salty sea air over the years. Not everything makes it, but we figure it out as we go. It’s a job.
