Our shop is No. 2 at Sunder Villa on S V Road in Santacruz West. It’s a busy street, as anyone who lives in Mumbai knows. There’s always noise from the traffic and people walking by. We’ve been in this spot for a while, dealing with imports and exports as Gras Impex. The space is a bit tight because we have to fit all the files and samples into the shop, but we make it work. It’s not a fancy glass office in a corporate park. It’s just a regular shop where we sit and handle the day-to-day business of moving goods. Sometimes the rain gets a bit heavy and we have to make sure nothing gets damp near the door. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing emails to people in different time zones. It’s mostly just us trying to keep track of where everything is. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea, and other days it feels like everyone wants something at the same time. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how things run around here. If you’re looking for us, we’re right there on the main road, easy to spot if you don't miss the sign. It’s a simple setup, but it’s been our home for a long time now. We just do our work and go home like everyone else.
