M. S. Bag House

If you go to Shivaji Nagar in Govandi, you can find M. S. Bag House on Road Number 3. We are at Plot Number 28, in Room Number 6 specifically. It is a tight space, but we manage to fit a lot of bags in there. The area is very residential and lively, with kids playing in the lanes and people going about their business. We spend our days surrounded by zippers, fabric, and straps. It is a local shop, so we don't have any big glass windows or air conditioning. We just have our stocks piled up and a small space to sit. People from the neighborhood come in when they need something for school or travel. We know most of the people who walk past our door every day. The room itself is quite simple and we’ve been here long enough that we know exactly where every single item is kept, even if it looks a bit cluttered to someone else. Govandi can be a bit dusty and loud, but it’s home for the business. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us handling everything from the sales to the cleaning. It’s a modest way to make a living, but we stay busy. It’s honest work and we like being part of the local community here on Road Number 3. That is about it.
