Kamal International

Our office and workspace are at Ram House, No. 4, inside the Gaiwadi Industrial Estate on S. V. Road in Goregaon West. Mumbai is a crowded place, and Goregaon is no different. Every morning, the streets are packed with people heading to work. Kamal International is just one of many businesses in this estate, but we’ve carved out our own space here. We do a lot of trading and international business, handling various goods and parts. It involves a lot of paperwork and phone calls to different time zones. The building is old-fashioned, typical of the industrial estates in this part of the city. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist in a uniform. You just walk in and see us working at our desks or checking on stock. It’s practical. S. V. Road is always noisy with the rickshaws and buses, but once you’re inside the estate, it feels a bit more like a community of shop owners and small manufacturers. We’ve been in Goregaon for quite a while now. We know the local tea stall guy and the other business owners nearby. We don't try to sound like a multinational corporation; we're just a local team doing business with the rest of the world from a small corner of Mumbai. It’s a busy life, but it keeps things interesting when the shipments finally arrive or go out.
