B J Rubber Products

Working at B J Rubber Products means you go home smelling like rubber every single day. We are located in the Yogi Industrial Premises, specifically at No. 115 on Ram Mandir Road. It is a co-operative society, so there are many other units around us doing all sorts of manufacturing work. The road outside is always packed with trucks and people rushing around. Inside our unit, we have the presses and the molds going for most of the shift. It gets pretty hot in here during the summer months, but we have some fans that help a little bit. I usually handle the paperwork while the guys manage the machines. We make a lot of different rubber parts, mostly small things that go into bigger machines or cars. The address says Ram Mandir Road twice on some of our mail, which is funny, but that's just how it’s written down. We’ve been part of this industrial society for quite a few years. There is a small tea stall just around the corner where we all go for a break. You meet people from all the nearby shops there. It is a good community, even if the work is dirty and tiring. We just try to get the rubber cured right and the dimensions correct. If a batch goes wrong, we have to start all over, which is a real headache. But mostly, we get it done and ready for pick up.
