We’re located at Factory 7 in the Mayani Shed area. You can find us on Sonawala Cross Road No. 2, right across from National Die Casting in Goregaon East. It’s a real industrial vibe around here. The sound of the die casting from across the way is something you just get used to after a week. Our shed is where we handle all our textile-related business. It’s a big open space with high ceilings, which is great for the heat, but it gets pretty loud when all the machines are going. We deal with fabrics and different types of yarn, so there’s always lint floating in the air. We wear old clothes to work because everything gets covered in it. We have a small crew of guys who have been here forever. We know how the machines sound when they’re about to break, which helps us fix things before they get bad. The road outside gets completely flooded during the monsoon, so we spend a lot of time moving stock to higher shelves when the clouds look dark. It’s hard work, and we aren't trying to pretend it’s anything else. We just make sure the quality of the fabric is what it needs to be and get the rolls loaded onto the trucks. It’s a simple life, focused on production and keeping the machines running as long as we can. We usually lock up late and start early.
