Salvani Mould Industries

Salvani Mould Industries is tucked into the Universal Industrial area at No. 40/41 on I. B. Patel Road in Goregaon East. Being on I. B. Patel Road means we’re surrounded by other industrial shops and factories, so there’s a constant hum of activity in the air. Our place is pretty typical for this part of Mumbai. It’s a bit hot inside, especially during the summer, but we have the fans going as much as we can. The work we do involves a lot of heavy machinery and moulds, so the floor is usually a bit greasy and there’s metal scrap here and there. We don’t really have a front desk in the traditional sense; you just walk in and find whoever is available. The space is used for manufacturing, so it’s more about the machines than it is about the decor. We have some old benches where we take our breaks. The street outside is always packed with delivery trucks and workers, so it’s a lively place to be. We’ve been at this Goregaon East location for some time now and we know the other business owners on the block. It’s a community of people who are all just trying to get their work finished and sent out. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a shiny sign, just the name on the door and the work being done inside every single day.
