Gopal Embroidery

Gopal Embroidery is a small shop located at Shop No. 6 in Old Brk. No. T-67. We are right across from the Municipal School in Chembur Colony. It’s a lively neighborhood where kids are always running around after school let's out. Our shop is simple and filled with threads of every color you can think of. We do a lot of embroidery work here by hand and with machines. It can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of orders piled up on the counters. People from the colony know us well because we’ve been here for years. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just wait it out or work by the light from the door. We don't have a website or anything like that; people usually just walk in or call us. The noise from the street is constant, but it’s the sound of the neighborhood. We focus on getting the stitching right and making sure the patterns look okay before the customers come back to pick them up. It’s just a few of us working here. We keep the tea kettle going in the back for when we need a break. Being near the school means we see the same faces every day. It’s a humble place, but we get the job done. We don't use fancy words for what we do. It's just embroidery and keeping the needles moving.
