Golden Traders

Golden Traders is right near the Noorani Masjid in Hasan Nagar. Our shop is at number 47. Being so close to the masjid means we hear the calls to prayer throughout the day, which is a nice rhythm for our work. We are a small trading outfit. We don't have a huge staff, just a couple of us handling the daily tasks. We trade in various goods that the local community needs. The shop is often filled with boxes and some items are just stacked on the floor because we don't have enough shelf space yet. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we can find whatever a customer asks for in a few seconds. Hasan Nagar is a lively area and there’s always something going on outside the door. We get a lot of foot traffic from people walking to the masjid or the nearby markets. We aren't trying to be the biggest traders in the city. We just want to be here for the people in our immediate area so they don't have to go far. We don't use any fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of it is still done in our books. It’s just a traditional way of doing things that works for us. If you come by, you’ll probably find us sorting through a new shipment or just sitting out front when it’s quiet. We've been here for years and the neighborhood has become like family to us.
