Godrej & Boyce Mfg.Co.Ltd. has a big presence in Vikhroli, but our specific spot is the Tooling Division at Plant 7. This is located in the Pirojshangar area. It’s a massive industrial space. When you walk into Plant 7, you immediately notice the smell of machine oil and the sound of heavy metal being worked on. It’s not like those modern offices with carpets and quiet rooms. Here, it is all about the tools. We make the molds and dies that help other parts of the factory run. It is precision work but it’s also very physical. The workers here have calloused hands and a lot of experience. Vikhroli is a hub of activity, and being part of the Godrej estate means there are trees around the buildings, which is a nice break from the heat. We have a canteen where everyone gathers to talk about the day’s production. The machines are old but well-maintained, and they hum along all day long. We don't spend time on fancy speeches or polished presentations. We look at the technical drawings and we cut the steel to match. It’s a place where things are actually built. The floors are concrete and have marks from years of heavy lifting. We take pride in just getting the job done right. It’s a busy, noisy, and very real manufacturing environment that has been operating for a long time now.
