Globe Exports

Globe Exports is over in Unit No. 12 inside the Kamruddin Industrial Estate. If you’ve ever been to Safed Pool on the Andheri Kurla Road, you know exactly how hectic it gets around here. Sakinaka is always crowded with trucks and people moving things back and forth. Our unit is tucked away in the estate, so it’s a bit quieter than the main road, but you can still hear the machinery and the sounds of the industrial area all day long. The estate itself is quite old and has that specific smell of metal and dust that you find in these kinds of places. We spend our days in Unit 12 dealing with all the paperwork and shipments. It’s a practical space, not meant for looking pretty. There are boxes stacked in the corners and the desks are usually covered in folders. The walk from the Sakinaka metro station is a bit long, especially during the monsoon when the roads get muddy, but it’s what we do every day. There’s a small canteen nearby where we get lunch if we haven't brought something from home. It’s a busy, gritty part of Mumbai, and we are right in the middle of it, just doing our jobs and keeping things moving. We don't have a big reception area or anything; you just walk in and we're right there working on the files. There is always a lot to keep track of, but we manage to stay on top of it all.
