Global Events. Independent is based over in Marol, Andheri East. We are in the Lok Darshan building, room B507 on Military Road. It is a busy part of Mumbai, as you can probably imagine. There is always noise coming from the street, but we have gotten used to it over the years. We do event stuff, which basically means our office is usually full of half-finished plans, posters, and random equipment that has not been put away yet. It is not the most organized-looking place, but we know where everything is. Being in Andheri East is handy because we are close to a lot of our suppliers and other folks we work with. We spend a lot of time on the phone or running out to meet people at different venues. When we are actually in the office, it is mostly just us catching up on emails and trying to figure out the logistics for the next thing on the calendar. It is a small team, so we all know each other well. Sometimes things get pretty stressful when a deadline is coming up, but we just push through. We do not really have a big corporate vibe here. It is more like a group of people who enjoy putting things together. The Military Road area has its quirks, but it is home for the business. We have been here for a while and do not plan on moving.
