Gifts & Crafts Works

Gifts & Crafts Works is situated over in Sewri, inside the Bussa Udyog Bhavan on T.J. Road. If you know Mumbai, you know this area is pretty industrial and always moving. Our space is at number 232. It is basically where all the making happens. We have benches set up and tools everywhere because we are usually busy putting things together. It isn't a showroom where everything is sparkling; it is more of a workshop. There is usually some sawdust on the floor or the smell of glue in the air depending on what we are working on that week. We have been in this building for some time, and the neighbors are all similar small businesses. Most of the time, we are just focused on getting the crafts finished and packed into boxes for delivery. The elevators in the building can be a bit slow, so we end up waiting around with the delivery guys quite a bit. It is a lot of manual work, and our hands usually show it by the end of the day. We don't spend much time on fancy talk. We just show up in the morning, check what needs to be done, and start working. The staff here has been together for a while, so we all know how to work around each other without getting in the way. It is just a regular local business trying to keep up with the orders.
