Devendrakirti Silk Mills Private Limited

Devendrakirti Silk Mills is over here in Ghatkopar West. We are based out of 5 Vraj Apartments which is on Navroji Lane. It is quite a narrow lane, honestly. If you are coming from the station side, you have to navigate through quite a lot of people and shops. Vanmali Bhuvan is the landmark most people use when they are trying to find us for the first time. We have been in this apartment setup for a while. It doesn’t feel like a big industrial mill because we are tucked away in a residential-looking building, but we manage our operations from here. Navroji Lane is one of those places where everyone seems to know everyone. The morning starts with the sounds of the neighborhood waking up. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans running full speed. We don't really do much fancy stuff here, just the daily routine of handling the silk business. There is always some paperwork or some samples lying around the tables. It is a bit of a walk from the main road, but it is quieter here than right on the junction. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time with the narrow turn into the lane, so we have to go out and help them guide the way. It’s just how things go in an old part of Mumbai like this. We are usually here until late evening.
