Our office is on the 7th floor of Coral Classic, over on 20th Road in Chembur East. It’s a decent building, and being up on the 7th floor gives us a bit of a break from the street noise below. We handle the Asia side of things for GEW, which involves a lot of coordination and technical talk. The office is mostly open-plan. We’ve got rows of desks and a small area where we keep some of the parts and equipment we deal with. It’s not a huge space, but we make it work. Chembur is a good area to be in; it feels a bit more residential and relaxed than some other parts of Mumbai. We have people coming in from all over, so being near the main roads helps. Most of our day is spent responding to emails or checking specifications for projects. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees in this branch; it’s just a dedicated group of us. Sometimes the power flutters and we all have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just part of living in the city. We have a small pantry where we make tea and chat about things that aren't work-related. It’s a pretty standard office life, honestly. We focus on getting the technical details right so the equipment out in the field keeps running like it should. It can be a bit repetitive, but we like the technical side of it.
