Our place is at Mahal House on Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg in Vikhroli West. LBS Marg is one of those roads that never seems to sleep, so there is always a background noise of honking and engines. Mahal House is an older building, and we’ve been here for quite some time. We deal with machinery used in the pharmaceutical industry, so the ground floor is usually filled with heavy crates and spare parts. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when a new shipment of machines comes in. The office upstairs is where we handle the billing and the client calls. It’s got that old-school feel to it, with wooden desks and filing cabinets that have been around for decades. Vikhroli is a central enough spot for us to reach different parts of Mumbai, even if the traffic on LBS Marg is a nightmare in the evenings. We spend our days talking to technicians and making sure the right gears or motors are sent out to the factories. It’s a lot of manual tracking of parts and ensuring the inventory is correct. We don’t really bother with any modern decor; we just need the space to work and store the equipment. People who come to visit usually find us easily enough because Mahal House is a recognizable name in this part of Vikhroli.
