Gearking Impex

You can find Gearking Impex on the ground floor at Gala No-15. We are inside the Municipal Industrial Estate on P.P. Marg, right off Bapty Road. This part of Mumbai is always crowded and the roads are quite narrow, so getting goods in and out can be a real challenge. The industrial estate itself is an old building and it has that worn-out look that comes with years of heavy use. Inside our gala, it is mostly just stacks of gears and industrial parts. It’s heavy metal stuff, so there is always a lot of clanking and banging going on. The walls have some stains and the lighting isn't the best, but it works for what we do. We spend a lot of our time checking orders and making sure everything is packed properly for shipping. Bapty Road is a very busy commercial area, so there is a constant stream of people and handcarts moving past the door. We don't have any fancy decorations or a reception area. It’s just a workspace where we handle our imports and exports. Sometimes the noise from the other galas is so loud you can barely hear yourself think. We just keep our heads down and get through the list of things to do. It’s a gritty, hard-working environment and we are just one of many small businesses in the estate trying to keep things moving.
