Gaurav Maternity & Surgical Hospital

If you look for us in Bhandup West, you will find Gaurav Maternity & Surgical Hospital right there on the ground floor of Arunoday Tower. We are in the C Wing. Being on the ground floor is quite a help because a lot of the women coming in find it much easier than dealing with elevators or stairs when they are far along in their pregnancy. Mumbai is a crowded city, and Bhandup is no different, so the street outside is always full of cars and people rushing around. Inside the hospital, we try to keep a bit of order. It isn't a massive place with glass walls, just a practical surgical hospital where we do our daily rounds. The staff has been here for a good while, and we all know the routine like the back of our hands. We see a lot of families from the surrounding neighborhood. There is usually the sound of a baby crying somewhere in the back, which is just part of the job. We have our surgical unit for when things get more serious, but mostly it's routine checkups and monitoring. The lobby has a few rows of chairs and a desk where we handle the paperwork. It gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but the fans keep things moving. We just focus on the patients and making sure everything goes as smooth as it can. That is really the long and short of our daily life here.
