Garware Polyester Ltd.

Garware Polyester Ltd. is located on the Aurangabad-Pune Road, out in the Waluj area. It’s a large site, and you can’t really miss it if you’re driving along that stretch of road. Being a polyester film plant, it’s a very industrial environment. There are pipes everywhere and the constant hum of the machines that never really stop. We have shifts going at all hours, so there are always people coming and going through the main gate. The air smells like a factory, a mix of plastic and heat. Inside, the floors are hard concrete and everything is built for function, not for looks. We spend our time monitoring the production lines and making sure the film rolls are coming off correctly. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the different sections of the plant. The heat from the machinery can be quite intense in some areas, so we’re always looking for a bit of a breeze from the loading docks. It’s a busy place with trucks pulling in and out to deliver raw materials or pick up the finished film. We don’t have a fancy lobby with couches; it’s mostly just offices for the supervisors and the big production floor where the real work happens. It’s a long road out here, but this is where the production happens, day in and day out, keeping the whole operation moving along the highway.
