G. J. Rassiwalla Rope Factory

G. J. Rassiwalla Rope Factory has been around for ages. We are located at 6/7 Maskati House, 76 Mohamedali Road, which is right near the Masjid Station. It’s a very crowded part of the city, and the streets are always full of people and carts. Our building, Maskati House, has a lot of character. We make ropes of all kinds. The smell of jute and fiber is the first thing you notice when you walk in. It’s a traditional kind of work that hasn’t changed much over the generations. We don't use a lot of high-tech computers or fancy software. Most of it is still done by hand or with older machines that we know how to fix ourselves. The space is a bit cramped because we have to store so much raw material, but we make it work. Being near the station means we are always in the middle of the action. It can be loud and frantic outside, but inside we just focus on the coils. We aren’t a corporate entity with a board of directors. We’re just a family-run factory trying to keep a traditional craft alive in a modern world. We don't spend money on ads. People find us because we’ve been here on Mohamedali Road longer than most. It’s just us, some rope, and a lot of history. We’ve seen the city change around us while we stay busy making our product every day.
