You can find us on the 4th floor of Triveni Sadan on Mahadeo Palav Marg. It’s right in the Currey Road area of Mumbai. The building is one of those old ones with a narrow staircase, but we’ve made our space comfortable enough. Freight is what we do all day long. We deal with containers, trucks, and a whole lot of shipping schedules. The office is usually a mess of folders and printed emails. We try to keep it organized, but when things get busy, the stacks just grow. It’s a small team here. We’ve worked together for years, so we don't need to say much to get things done. The fans overhead hum all day, and we can hear the trains passing nearby. It’s a very Mumbai kind of workplace. We don't have a fancy reception area or anyone to bring you water in a glass. We just work. Most of our day is spent tracking shipments and arguing with transporters. It’s not always easy, especially when the weather is bad or the port is backed up. We just take it one day at a time. We don't really do any self-promotion. People know where we are if they need help moving goods across the country or overseas. It’s just us, our computers, and a lot of phone calls to make sure everything is on track.
