Fotolite is located in the Kalachowki area of Mumbai. Our specific spot is in the M.H.B Colony, house number 39/2865, near Cotton Green. It’s a very old and busy part of the city. We’ve been here for quite a while, and the neighborhood has a lot of character. We work with lighting and photography equipment, which means there is often a lot of gear stacked up in the corners. It’s not a polished studio with white walls; it’s more of a working space where things happen. The building is a bit older, like most things around Cotton Green, but it serves us well. Mumbai can be loud and hectic, and it is no different right outside our door. We spend our days checking equipment, talking to customers, and making sure orders are ready to go out. Sometimes the traffic makes it hard for deliveries, but we manage to get things done. We don't really have a big marketing team or anything. It’s just us doing the daily work. People who know about photography in this part of Mumbai usually know where we are. We like being in a place with so much history. It is a practical, no-nonsense environment. We just show up, do the work, and keep the business running. It’s a local operation and we prefer it that way. No need for anything too fancy when the work speaks for itself and the customers keep coming back.
