Fort Auto Spares

Fort Auto Spares is right in the heart of the old city, in the Red Building on Kumtha Street. We are at number 25. If you know the Fort area, you know how tight the streets are and how many people are always rushing around. Our shop is filled from floor to ceiling with all kinds of spare parts. It smells like oil and old metal in here, which I guess is expected. We’ve been in this building for a long time. The walls are thick and it stays a bit cooler inside than out on the street. People come to us when they can't find a specific bolt or a part for their car elsewhere. We spend half our day climbing ladders to find things in the back corners. Kumtha Street is always busy with deliveries and foot traffic. It’s a bit chaotic, but we like it. There’s no fancy display window; just shelves and counters and us. Sometimes we have to tell people to wait a bit while we dig through the inventory. It’s not a fast-paced modern showroom, it’s a traditional spares shop. We know the regular mechanics and drivers who stop by. Being in the Red Building is a point of pride for us because everyone knows it. We just keep doing what we do, day in and day out. That’s how we’ve always operated.
