Our workshop is at Hemu Products, A/2 in the Annapurna Industrial Estate. It’s located on 46 Tilak Road in Ghatkopar East. If you’ve ever been to an industrial estate in Mumbai, you know exactly what it’s like. There’s the smell of oil and metal, and someone is always hammering something nearby. At Fixograph Display Systems Boards, we spend our days surrounded by materials and half-finished displays. It’s a messy process sometimes, but that’s how things get made. The estate is a bit crowded, and finding a parking spot for a delivery truck can be a real challenge on Tilak Road. We’ve been at this address for a long time. The walls of our unit are covered in sketches and old samples of boards we’ve made over the years. It’s not a showroom; it’s a place where work actually happens. We have a few fans that hum all day to keep the air moving. Our team is small, mostly people who have been doing this for a decade or more. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just take the orders, figure out how to build them, and get them out the door. We usually take our breaks at the local canteen in the estate. It’s a simple life, focused on making sure the boards look right and the measurements are correct. We just keep our heads down and work because that is what pays the bills.
