Our place, Fivebros Forgings Pvt. Ltd., is tucked away at 123, Gurunanak Udyog Bhuvan on LBS Marg. If you already know where the Shangrila Biscuits Co is in Bhandup (W), then we are easy to find because we are right across from them. On days when the wind blows the right way, you can actually smell the biscuits baking, which is a nice change from the usual smell of oil and metal in the shop. The building we are in is an old industrial estate, so the space is a bit tight for all the equipment. Moving heavy parts around requires being really careful so we do not bump into each other or the walls. This part of town is always busy, with a lot of traffic on LBS Marg and people moving back and forth all day long. Inside our unit, the sound of machines and the clanking of metal pieces is constant. Our small team is dedicated, and everyone knows exactly what they need to do. There is not much of a hierarchy; we just jump in and help out where it is needed most. If a delivery truck arrives at the curb, everyone stops what they are doing to help unload. We have been in this same spot for a while now, and we have gotten used to the noise and the busy rhythm of the Bhandup neighborhood. It’s just a group of people working hard every day.
