Federal Exports

Our office is in room 2301 of the Panchratna building on M P Road. It’s a big building near Sadar Bazar and Charni Road. Federal Exports is way up on one of the higher floors. The view is okay, but we are usually too busy to look out the window. Panchratna is a very busy place with a lot of different businesses. We spend a lot of time waiting for the elevators. Once we are inside, it’s all about the export business. We have phones ringing all the time. Being near Sadar Bazar means we are close to the action. It’s a lot of logistics work. We have to coordinate with a lot of different agencies. The office is pretty small for the amount of work we do. We have papers stacked on almost every surface. Being on the 23rd floor of Panchratna means we are pretty far up. The elevators are always crowded with people from the other floors. Sadar Bazar is right there, so it’s always busy. We keep a lot of files in boxes under the desks because the cabinets are full. It’s not the most organized place but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time drinking tea and looking at shipping schedules. The Charni Road area is always humming. We get to work early to beat some of the crowds. It’s a lot of pressure sometimes because things have to move fast. We just try to keep everything organized.
