Fast Shipping & Trading

We are based in room 504 of Vyapar Bhavan on P. D’mello Road. If you know the area, you know it’s right by the docks and the transport hubs. It’s a very busy part of Mumbai. Fast Shipping & Trading has been operating out of this building for quite a while. The elevators are always slow and the hallways are usually full of people carrying papers and boxes. Our office is a bit small, but it’s got a good view of the street below where all the trucks line up. We do a lot of trading and move goods from one place to another. It involves a lot of customs paperwork and logistics. It’s not a glamorous job. Most of our day is spent dealing with delays or fixing mistakes in shipping manifests. We have a few desks pushed together and a lot of binders on the shelves. It’s noisy outside with the horns and the heavy traffic, but we get used to it. We don't have time for fancy corporate talk or big mission statements. We just need to make sure the cargo gets where it's going without too much trouble. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication with drivers and agents. Some days are faster than others, but there’s always something that needs to be sorted out before we can head home. It is honest work and it keeps us right in the middle of the action every single day.
