Farouk Sodagar Darvesh & Co is located right in the middle of the bustle on Nagdevi Street. If you know Mumbai, you know how crowded this area gets. Our office is on the second floor of the Fatimabai Building, specifically in Room Number 21. It’s an old building, but it has a lot of character. Getting up the stairs can be a bit of a workout sometimes when the elevator is being moody. The Nakhuda Mohalla neighborhood is always loud with carts and people moving goods around. It’s the heart of the hardware and tools market, so there’s never a quiet moment here. Inside, the office is packed with files and ledgers. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite some time now. The desks are a bit old, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but it feels like home to us. I usually spend my mornings answering phones and checking through the paperwork while listening to the traffic noise outside. It’s a tight space, but we’ve organized it the best we can. Sometimes customers just drop in to chat or check on their orders. We don’t have any big signs or flashy lights out front. Most people who come here already know exactly where we are. It’s a traditional way of doing business in a very busy part of town. We just keep things moving every day without much fuss, just like everyone else on this street.
