Our office is at Associate House, 85-A, on Victoria Road in Mazgaon. Farouk Sodagar Darvesh & Co. has been around this area for a long time. Mazgaon is an old part of the city, and Mustafa Bazar always has something going on. We’re located in a spot that feels very traditional, with old buildings and narrow lanes nearby. Our workplace is pretty straightforward, with old wooden desks and stacks of papers that have been sitting there for years. We handle various types of trade and business, but we don’t really go for all those modern buzzwords. We just do things the way we’ve always done them, which seems to work out fine. You can hear the sounds of the market from our windows, and the smell of the city is always present. We have a small staff, and most of us have been working together for a long time, so we’re more like a small family than just coworkers. We drink a lot of tea throughout the day and talk about the news or what’s happening in the neighborhood. It’s a comfortable place to work, even if it’s a bit cluttered. We don’t really advertise much; people usually find us through word of mouth or because they’ve been dealing with us for decades. It’s a simple way of doing business, but it’s honest and it keeps us busy enough. We like being here in Mazgaon, it feels like home.
