We operate Essar Steel Limited from number 12, Mount View, which is on the Sion Trombay Road in Mankhurd. This Mumbai location is always buzzing because the road outside is one of the busiest in the city. We’re used to the constant sound of trucks and cars passing by. The office itself is a straightforward space. We don’t have any luxury furniture or high-end tech, just the essentials to get our work done. We manage the logistics and some of the local business dealings from here. Mumbai is a tough city to work in sometimes because of the heat and the crowds, but we just get on with it. Our team is a mix of people who have been with the company for years. We handle a lot of phone calls and paperwork related to the steel supply chain. There’s usually a bit of a mess on the desks, but we know where everything is. We don't use big words or try to sound more important than we are. We are just a local office helping to keep the larger company moving. Being on the Sion Trombay Road means we are right in the middle of the action. We just focus on the daily tally of what's coming in and what's going out. It’s a busy, unpretentious place to work every day and we do our best to keep up.
