We operate out of 30-Jaya Bai Chawl in the Bhimwadi area of Mulund West. Being right on Dr. R.P. Road makes it pretty busy around here, but that's just Mumbai for you. We’ve been doing construction work from this little spot for a long time. It’s not a fancy office building, just a humble place in the chawl where we keep our tools and coordinate the projects. Usually, the morning starts with a lot of noise and people moving around, trying to get the materials sorted for the day. We do all kinds of building work, whatever comes our way really. It could be a small repair or something bigger down the street. We don’t spend much time talking about what we do, we just go out and do it. The guys are local and they know these streets like the back of their hands. It gets crowded and the traffic in Mulund can be a headache, but we always manage to get the trucks where they need to go. Essar Construction (India) Ltd. has been a part of this neighborhood for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there, we just want to do a decent job so people keep calling us back. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes it's stressful with the deadlines, but we just keep our heads down and keep the cement mixing until the job is done.
