Ess Dee Aluminium Ltd.

Our office, Ess Dee Aluminium Ltd., is located at Sd House on Akurli Road in Akurli West, Kandivali East. Aluminium is what we do all day long. The building is a solid place, nothing too fancy to look at from the outside. We’ve got a lot of activity going on here because the metal business involves a lot of logistics. The phones ring quite a bit and there is usually a stack of invoices on someone’s desk. Kandivali is a busy part of Mumbai, so getting here in the morning can be a bit of a struggle with the traffic. Once we’re inside, it’s all about the metal. We have different sections for the administrative work and the more hands-on stuff. It’s a bit noisy sometimes, but that’s just how it is in this industry. We don’t spend much on decorating the office. We’d rather have good equipment and a roof that doesn't leak. The staff is mostly local people who have been with us through various ups and downs. We aren't big on formal meetings; usually, we just shout across the room if we need something. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We handle a lot of foil and packaging materials, so there’s always scraps around the floor. It feels like a real workplace where things actually get made and moved. We just keep our heads down and work until the day is done.
