You can find us over at 85 Pathuria Ghatta Street in Kolkata. This is an old part of the city, very narrow streets and lots of history around every corner. Epk Bearings India Pvt. Limited has its roots right here. The building is old, like most things in West Bengal 700-006. It’s got high ceilings and those big windows that don’t always open right. It’s a busy area, lots of lorries and handcarts moving stuff around all day long. Sometimes the noise from the street is so loud we have to shout a bit, but that’s just life in Kolkata. We handle a lot of work here, so there’s often a bit of stuff lying around. It’s not a showroom; it’s a working office and storage space. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning in the main area, just big ceiling fans that hum. The staff has been here for years, and we all know the neighborhood well. There’s a sweet shop down the road that everyone likes. We don’t spend much on decorations or looking modern. We’re more interested in getting the orders right and making sure the boxes go out on time. If you come by, you’ll see us busy with ledgers and phones. It’s a honest day’s work in a very busy, very crowded part of town. The monsoons can be tough on this street, but we still make it in every single day even when it floods.
