Electronics Hobby Centre is tucked away in the Nand Dham Indl. Estate in Marol. Our unit is F-32. If you are coming from Andheri East, you know the Marol area is always packed with trucks and people moving goods. We’ve got a lot of small parts here, the kind of things hobbyists and students are always looking for. It’s not a big showroom or anything, just a practical workspace filled with drawers of components. We spend a lot of time counting out tiny pieces or testing out a circuit that someone brought in. The estate itself is pretty typical for this part of Mumbai—lots of small units doing all sorts of things. Sometimes it’s hard to find parking near Nand Dham, so most of us just use the local transport. Inside F-32, things can get a bit messy with wires and half-finished projects on the benches, but that’s just how it goes when you’re dealing with electronics. We don’t have a big front desk or a receptionist; usually, you just walk in and someone will help you find what you need. The fans are always running to keep the place cool, but it still gets quite warm in the afternoons. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shop owners in the building. It’s a simple setup, really. We just focus on the parts and making sure we have enough stock for whoever walks through the door.
