It is packed with shops and people carrying heavy loads on their shoulders. Our place is right in the middle of all that action. We deal with various industrial items and have been part of this neighborhood for quite some time now. The shop is narrow and the shelves go all the way up to the ceiling. It is a bit dusty, but that is just Nagdevi for you. We spend our mornings opening up the shutters and checking what needs to go out for delivery. There is always someone coming in asking for a specific part or a price quote. We don't have a big marketing department or anything like that; people usually find us through word of mouth or because they’ve been coming here for decades. The fan in the back makes a bit of a clicking sound, but we don't really notice it anymore. We just sit at the wooden desks, handle the ledgers, and talk to the regulars. It is a very hands-on kind of business. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just want to get the items people need and get through the day’s work without too many hiccups. It is a busy life, but it is ours.
